Well, European transfer window is shut. Russian clubs still can buy or sell players, but until summer there will be no transfers with clubs from major European leagues involved.

Let’s take a look on players arriving to Russian Premier League and players who left.

CSKA (Moscow)

Out

Polish striker Dawid Janczyk left CSKA to join KSC Lokeren (Belgium) on loan. Belgium scouts might have spotted Janczyk when he scored a hat trick against Belgium at the UEFA U-19 Championship back in 2006. Janczyk aims to recover own high level in Lokeren and fight his way into Polish national squad.

In

CSKA signed 19-year old Tomáš Necid from Slavia (Czech Republic). Necid played his first match for Slavia senior team when he was just 17 years old, he has already made his first appearance in UEFA Champions League. November 19, 2008 he played his first game for the national team.

In summer Nigerian striker Ouwo Moussa Maazou will join CSKA leaving his current club KSC Lokeren. This will be a record transfer for Belgium club. It’s remarkable that Moussa Maazou made his senior debut for ASFAN, a club that belongs to Nigerien Armed Forces, while 25% of CSKA stock belong to Russian Defense Ministry.

Dynamo (Moscow)

Out

Custódio Miguel Dias de Castro (Portugal) left Dynamo to re-join Vitória Sport Clube, his first club. In 2008 season he made just 8 appearances for Dynamo.

Amkar (Perm)

In

Amkar signed Bosnian striker Edin Junuzović. Playing for his recent club, Rudar Velenje (Slovenia), Junuzović scored 13 goals and became Slovenian First Division top goalscorer.

Zenit (Saint Petersburg)

Out

Andrei Arshavin finally left Zenit and joined Arsenal (London). Until 2006 Arshavin was outshone by his former teammate Aleksandr Kerzhakov, but in the last two seasons Arshavin was inevitable both for Zenit and Russian national team. Arshavin has just had a rest after Russian Premier League season, being fresh physically and physiologically he may reach his best form by the end of English Premier League season.

French Sébastien Puygrenier also left to England, being loaned to Bolton Wanderers. Seems that Puygrenier failed to impress Zenit manager Dick Advocaat. Puygrenier has already scored his first goal for Bolton.

South Korean midfielder Lee Ho left Zenit to join Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma from his home country.

In

So far Zenit has signed just two players, one of them is attacking midfielder Szabolcs Huszti (Hungury). Huszti established himself as a key player in German Hannover 96.

Lokomotiv (Moscow)

Out

Belarusian defender Sergei Gurenko moved to Dynamo (Minsk). Gurenko is Belarusian national team captain, however he is 36 years old and Dynamo might be his last club.

Spartak (Moscow)

Out

Midfielder Cristian Omar Maidana (Argentine) joins a Spanish La Liga team Recreativo de Huelva on loan. Maidana is a talented player but Spartak management were not quite satisfied with his performance.

In

Brazilian midfielder Rafael de Souza Pereira, most commonly known as Rafael Carioca, joins Spartak from Grêmio (Brazil) for a reported fee of 9 mln. euro. 19-year old Brazilian expects to develop rapidly in Spartak.

Moscow (Moscow)

Out

Czech defender Roman Hubnik joined Sparta Praha from his home country on loan. In 2008 season he made just 9 appearances for Moscow.

Terek (Grozny)

In

Chechen club signed Bulgarian midfielder Blagoy Georgiev. Georgiev’s recent club was Slavia (Sofia, Bulgaria), Bulgarian international confessed that his personal contract in Terek is impressive.

Spartak (Nalchik)

In

Belarusian forward Artem Kontsevoy joined Spartak from MTZ-RIPO (Belarus). Kontsevoy was one of the best players in Belarusian Premier League, he is expected to become a key player for Nalchik team.

Tom (Tomsk)

Out

Croatian Hrvoje Vejić completed his move to Croatian club Hajduk Split. 31-year old claims that he wants to finish his playing career in Hajduk.

Khimki (Khimki)

Out

Slovenian international Nastja Čeh moves to Greek Panserraikos F.C. Čeh was a key player for Khimki, but due to poor financial status Russian club couldn’t afford paying his current salary. Slovenian midfielder might become an important player for his new club.

Florin Şoava (Romania) was another important player for Khimki. The club couldn’t afford paying his current salary, so Şoava moved to Romanian Universitatea Craiova, a team where he played in 2000 – 2001.

In

27-year old midfielder Ivan Cvetković (Serbia) moved to Khimki from Serbian FK Habit Pharm Javor Ivanjica.

Khimki’s most notable transfer is Viktor Budyansky move from Udinese (Italy). Budyansky has earned some caps for Russian national teams both at junior and senior levels, in 2004 he made 2 appearances for Juventus. Budyansky can play as a defensive midfielder or central midfielder.

Rostov (Rostov)

In

Rostov signed Serbian international Dušan Andjelković from Kocaelispor (Turkey). Andjelković is expected to become a first-team regular in Rostov, presumably, he will play as a left full-back.

Kuban (Krasnodar)

In

Belarussian midfielder Maksim Zhavnerchik moves to Kuban from Belarussian champion BATE. Zhavnerchik is still 23, but with BATE he has won Belarussian Premier League (3 times) and Belarussian Cup. He has already played in UEFA Champions League.

Kuban also signed Côte d’Ivoire midfielder Marco Né, he recently played for Belgian Germinal Beerschot.
